Why, What & How
Maybe you're new to video production and want to know about why you should have a video produced or what projects it's good for or maybe you'd just like to know a little about how we'd approach making your video...
Why
Video has always been a great tool for communicating and with developments in production technology and the dawn of the digital age, its now much more cost effective to produce and a lot easier to deliver to your audience.
Video offers a great opportunity to communicate clearly, concisely and consistently. Make a good video once and it can communicate your message over and over again.
Video can communicate in a few seconds what might take 1000’s of words to write. If a picture tells a thousand words, imagine what one minute of video can do.
Video often feels more personal and that makes it more engaging. That means your viewer is more likely to absorb the message.
Video can get your message to more people, quicker. Removing the need to get people together to make sure they hear the same message.
And when it comes to being online, statistics show that video is a must for attracting and keeping visitors on your website.
What
With video being such a good tool for communication, it’s uses are almost endless but here’s a short list of some uses of video that Muddy Boot Productions have been involved in and you may want to use as well.

How
If you decide to take the first step of your journey with a Muddy Boot – you can be sure that we’ll treat your production as individual and unique. But even though each project is different we still have a process to ensure we make your video the best it can be.
Understand, Plan, Produce & Deliver.
Understand - it may seem obvious but it is often overlooked, ensuring that everyone understands the objectives of the production. Understanding the what, why, where, when, who and how of the project.
Now it may only take a few minutes (or there may only be a few minutes available!) to create this understanding. On a large project it may take a number of discussions over a number of days. But understanding in the beginning is crucial to having an effective video at the end.
Plan – fundamental to planning is to produce a script, this can sound daunting to those new to video production but in it’s basic form a script is just a list of what is going to be said and what is going to be shown in your video.
So this could be a very simple or a very complex document but the key is to make as many decisions as possible at the scripting stage to ensure that planning for the production can be as thorough as possible.
Produce – film the action, record the voices, create the graphics, source the music – basically follow the plan! Obtaining all the assets to combine in the edit and produce your final video.
Deliver – physical formats or digital files your completed video in a form ready to be seen by your audience.
